I recently experienced a two-night stay at Maennikkoelaen Pirtti Villa during my ski tour in Finland. The highlight for me was the Karelian pastries prepared by Ritva, the hostess, who is both knowledgeable and hospitable. I appreciated the well-equipped shared kitchen and the cozy sitting areas, although seating could be more comfortable. The sauna by the lake offers a relaxing experience. After a day of skiing, unwinding with a beer before a sauna session was a delight. The location provides easy access to skiing, and the scenic views into the forest add to the lodge's charm.
